Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
Go up to the top of Mount Pisgah, and look in every direction, west, north, south, and east, and see the land with your own eyes. But you will not cross over the Jordan River.

In the book of Deuteronomy, Moses is nearing the end of his life and leadership over the Israelites, who are camped on the east side of the Jordan River after wandering in the wilderness for forty years. Due to Moses' earlier act of disobedience at the waters of Meribah, where he struck the rock instead of speaking to it as God commanded, he was forbidden from entering the Promised Land. God thus instructs Moses to climb Mount Pisgah and look out over the land in all directions, allowing him to see it but not cross into it.
