And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms whither thou passest.
And I gave Joshua this command at that time: 'You have seen with your own eyes everything the LORD your God did to these two kings. The LORD will do the same thing to all the kingdoms you will enter.'
Moses is encouraging Joshua by reminding him that God's past victories guarantee He will keep giving them victory over their enemies in the future.
📚 Historical Context
Moses is speaking to Joshua just before the Israelites enter the Promised Land, after they had defeated kings Sihon and Og on the east side of the Jordan River. This was Moses' way of preparing Joshua to lead the conquest of Canaan by reminding him of God's proven faithfulness in battle.
