And I will write on the stone tablets the same words that were on the first tablets that you broke, and you will put them in the ark.
God is promising Moses that He will rewrite the Ten Commandments on new stone tablets to replace the ones Moses broke, and these will be kept safely in the ark.
📚 Historical Context
In the biblical narrative, Moses received the Ten Commandments from God on Mount Sinai, but he shattered the original stone tablets in anger upon discovering the Israelites worshiping a golden calf. God then instructed Moses to prepare new tablets, promising to inscribe the same laws on them to reaffirm the covenant. These renewed tablets were to be placed inside the Ark of the Covenant, serving as a sacred reminder of God's enduring relationship with His people.
