Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
So remove the stubbornness from your heart, and don't be stubborn and rebellious anymore.
God is calling His people to have soft, obedient hearts instead of being stubborn and resistant to Him.
📚 Historical Context
Moses was speaking to the Israelites just before they entered the Promised Land, reminding them of their covenant relationship with God. The Israelites had a history of being 'stiff-necked' - stubbornly disobedient and resistant to God's guidance, even after He had delivered them from Egypt and provided for them in the wilderness. Moses used the metaphor of circumcision (a physical sign of their covenant) to describe the spiritual transformation God wanted in their hearts.
