Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers,
Not one person from this wicked generation will see the good land that I promised to give to your ancestors.
God is declaring that because of their disobedience and lack of faith, the entire adult generation that left Egypt will not enter the Promised Land.
📚 Historical Context
Moses is recounting God's judgment after the Israelites refused to enter the Promised Land following the negative report from ten of the twelve spies. This generation had repeatedly complained and disobeyed God during their wilderness journey, culminating in their refusal to trust God's promise to give them victory over the inhabitants of Canaan. As a result, God declared they would wander in the wilderness for 40 years until that faithless generation died off.
