And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?
When the king got to the lion's den, he called out with this heartbroken, desperate voice: 'Daniel! Daniel, you who serve the living God, is your God, the one you're always faithful to, actually strong enough to save you from these lions?'
Even the king was holding his breath to see if Daniel's God would come through.
