Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
So the apostles, church leaders, and literally everyone in the church decided together to send some of their own trusted guys to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They picked Judas (who went by Barsabas) and Silas, both were respected leaders in the community.

📚 Historical Context
In the first century, the early Christian church was dealing with tensions between Jewish and Gentile believers, particularly over whether Gentiles needed to follow Jewish laws like circumcision. The apostles and elders in Jerusalem held a council to address this, deciding to affirm grace through faith alone and send representatives to communicate their agreement. This action helped unify the growing church and supported the mission to spread the gospel beyond Jewish communities.
