📚 Historical Context
During the reign of King Hezekiah of Judah, the temple in Jerusalem had been neglected and defiled due to the idolatry promoted by previous kings, including his father Ahaz. Hezekiah initiated a major religious reform by ordering the priests and Levites to cleanse and rededicate the temple for proper worship of God. In this verse, the priests are reporting back to Hezekiah that they have completed the purification of the altar, vessels, and other sacred items.
