📚 Historical Context
In the biblical narrative of 1 Kings, this verse is part of the detailed account of King Solomon's construction of the First Temple in Jerusalem, which took place around 966 BC during a time of peace and prosperity in Israel. The temple was built as a permanent dwelling place for God's presence, replacing the mobile Tabernacle, and featured elaborate designs with imported materials like cedar wood from Lebanon to symbolize divine glory and national devotion.
