This is the law of the Nazarite who hath vowed, and of his offering unto the LORD for his separation, beside that that his hand shall get: according to the vow which he vowed, so he must do after the law of his separation.
This is the law for anyone who takes a Nazirite vow, and what they must offer to the LORD for their special dedication to Him, in addition to whatever else they can afford to give. They must fulfill their vow completely, following all the rules of their separation exactly as they promised.
This verse explains that anyone who makes a Nazirite vow must follow through completely on their promise to God, offering what's required plus whatever else they can give.
📚 Historical Context
The Nazirite vow was a special commitment in ancient Israel where someone would dedicate themselves to God for a period of time, abstaining from wine, cutting their hair, and touching dead bodies. At the end of their vow period, they had to make specific sacrifices and offerings at the tabernacle. This was a voluntary act of devotion that both men and women could take.
