And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts thereof round about.
The border will go down to the Jordan River, and it will end at the Salt Sea. This will be your land with all its boundaries around it.
God is defining the final boundary of the Promised Land, ending at the Jordan River and the Salt Sea (Dead Sea).
📚 Historical Context
This verse is part of God's detailed instructions to Moses about the boundaries of the land that the Israelites would inherit in Canaan. The Salt Sea refers to what we now call the Dead Sea, and the Jordan River was the major geographical landmark on the eastern border of the Promised Land. This came as the Israelites were preparing to cross into Canaan after 40 years in the wilderness.
