📚 Historical Context
This verse is part of the detailed health laws God gave to Moses for the Israelites in the wilderness. Since there were no doctors or medical knowledge as we know it today, priests served as health inspectors to protect the community from contagious skin diseases. These careful examination procedures helped prevent the spread of serious infections in the camp.
