📚 Historical Context
During the time of Ezra, the Jewish people were returning from exile in Babylon to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem under the Persian Empire's rule. Ezra, a priest and scribe, was carefully assembling a group of exiles, including Levites, to ensure proper worship and service in the temple once they arrived. In this verse, God providentially provided Sherebiah, a capable man from the Levite lineage, along with his family and associates, to support the journey and the restoration efforts.
