Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
You won't be spreading lies or fake prophecies anymore, because I'm rescuing my people from your grip. When that happens, you'll know exactly who I am, the LORD.
God's putting an end to the fake prophets and coming through for his people.
📚 Historical Context
Ezekiel was a prophet among the exiled Jews in Babylon, where he spoke out against false prophets who were deceiving the people with misleading visions and divinations, claiming to speak for God but promoting lies. These false prophets gave false hope of peace and security during a time of judgment, which contrasted with God's true warnings through Ezekiel. God promised to intervene and stop this deception, delivering His people and revealing His sovereignty.
