And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.
Then God said, 'Put your hand inside your robe again.' So Moses put his hand back inside his robe, and when he pulled it out, it had returned to normal, just like his other hand.
God shows Moses that He can instantly heal and restore what He has changed, demonstrating His complete power over all things.
📚 Historical Context
In the book of Exodus, God appears to Moses in the burning bush and commissions him to lead the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt. Moses expresses doubt about his suitability for the task, so God provides miraculous signs to demonstrate His power, including turning Moses' hand leprous and then restoring it to normal. This sign was intended to build Moses' faith and convince the Israelites that God was with him.
