⚡ EN RESUMEN

This verse explains why the Jewish people should celebrate Purim - because God turned their time of great danger and sorrow into a time of victory and joy.

📚 Historical Context

In the Book of Esther, the Jewish people living under the Persian Empire faced a deadly plot by Haman to annihilate them, which was reversed through the bravery of Queen Esther and her cousin Mordecai. This led to a day of victory where the Jews defended themselves and turned potential sorrow into joy. The verse specifically establishes the festival of Purim as an annual commemoration of this deliverance, emphasizing feasting, sharing gifts, and helping the poor.
