📚 Contexto Histórico
This census took place at the end of Israel's 40-year wilderness journey, as they camped on the eastern side of the Jordan River, directly across from Jericho. It was the second major census recorded in Numbers (the first was in chapter 1), showing how God had preserved and multiplied His people despite their disobedience and the deaths of the rebellious generation. Eleazar had replaced his father Aaron as high priest after Aaron's death.
