📚 Contexto Histórico
This verse is part of the first census Moses conducted of the Israelites in the wilderness of Sinai, about a year after they left Egypt. The census was specifically counting men aged 20 and older who were able to go to war, as God was preparing the nation for military campaigns. Ephraim was one of Joseph's two sons who became tribal leaders, and this tribe would later become very prominent in Israel's history.
