📚 Contexto Histórico
In the book of Joshua, the Israelites had just crossed the Jordan River on dry ground through a miraculous parting of the waters, similar to the Red Sea crossing, as they entered the Promised Land after years of wandering in the wilderness. The priests were holding the Ark of the Covenant in the middle of the river to keep the waters at bay until all the people and their belongings had safely crossed. Joshua's command for the priests to come up out of the Jordan marked the completion of this event and the beginning of their conquest of the land God had promised.
