📚 Contexto Histórico
In the Book of Joshua, after the Israelites had conquered much of the Promised Land under Joshua's leadership, God commanded the division of the remaining territories among the tribes of Israel. This verse specifically describes the portion allocated to the half-tribe of Manasseh on the east side of the Jordan River, including the region of Bashan, which was previously ruled by King Og and his people. Bashan was a fertile and strategic area with many cities, symbolizing God's fulfillment of His promise to give the land to His chosen people.
