Traducido por Verse Made Simple Editorial

I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

✦ SIMPLIFICADO

During the time of the prophet Jeremiah in the 6th century BC, Judah was experiencing widespread moral and spiritual corruption as the nation faced impending judgment from Babylon due to idolatry and unfaithfulness to God. False prophets in Jerusalem were misleading the people by promoting lies and immoral behavior, such as adultery, while encouraging evildoers instead of calling for repentance. God compared these prophets and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to Sodom and Gomorrah, the biblical cities destroyed for their extreme wickedness, to underscore the depth of their sin and the coming divine punishment.
