📚 Contexto Histórico
This prophecy was spoken against King Jehoiakim of Judah, who ruled from 609-598 BC and was known for his injustice and oppression of his people. In ancient times, proper burial was extremely important for dignity and honor, while being left unburied or buried like an animal was the ultimate shame. The gates of Jerusalem represented the boundary between the holy city and the outside world, so being cast beyond them meant complete rejection.
