Shiloh was an ancient worship center where the tabernacle was located for about 300 years before Jerusalem became the religious center. God allowed Shiloh to be destroyed around 1050 BC when the Israelites were defeated by the Philistines because of their disobedience. Jeremiah is prophesying around 600 BC, warning that the same fate awaits Solomon's temple in Jerusalem if the people don't repent of their sins and return to faithful worship of God.
