Moreover Jeremiah said unto king Zedekiah, What have I offended against thee, or against thy servants, or against this people, that ye have put me in prison?
¿Qué les he hecho a tus oficiales o a tu pueblo?
During the reign of King Zedekiah in Judah around 587 BC, the nation was under siege by the Babylonian army, and Jeremiah, as God's prophet, had been warning the people of inevitable destruction if they did not repent and surrender. The king and his officials viewed Jeremiah's prophecies as treasonous, leading to his imprisonment in a cistern and later in the royal prison. In this verse, Jeremiah directly challenges the king about his unjust confinement, emphasizing that he had done nothing wrong against the ruler, his servants, or the people.
