Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumour, and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.
In the 8th century BC, King Hezekiah of Judah was under siege by the Assyrian king Sennacherib, who had invaded Judah and threatened to conquer Jerusalem. Through the prophet Isaiah, God delivered a message assuring Hezekiah that He would intervene to protect His people, causing Sennacherib to retreat after hearing a rumor. This prophecy highlighted God's sovereignty over earthly powers and was fulfilled when Sennacherib returned to Assyria and was later killed there.
