📚 Contexto Histórico
Isaiah is prophesying about the fall of Babylon and describing how their gods Bel and Nebo (mentioned in verse 1) will be powerless when judgment comes. These idols, carried on animals during religious processions, will be captured along with their worshippers. This was written during a time when the Israelites were facing exile and needed reassurance that foreign gods held no real power.
