This is part of King Hezekiah's prayer during the Assyrian siege of Jerusalem around 701 BC. The Assyrian king Sennacherib had blasphemed God and threatened to destroy Jerusalem just as he had conquered other nations. Hezekiah went to the temple and prayed this prayer, acknowledging God's supreme authority over all earthly powers.
