📚 Contexto Histórico
Jacob was returning to Canaan after spending about 20 years in Paddan-aram (Mesopotamia) working for his uncle Laban, where he married and had children. This arrival represents the fulfillment of God's promise to bring him back to the land promised to his grandfather Abraham and father Isaac. Shechem was an important Canaanite city that would later become significant in Israel's history.
