So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

In the book of Ezekiel, the prophet was speaking to the exiled Israelites in Babylon around the 6th century BC, warning them about false prophets who were deceiving the people with misleading visions and promises of peace amid impending judgment. These false prophets were likened to builders using untempered mortar, weak and unstable material, to construct a wall, symbolizing their unreliable prophecies that would not withstand God's scrutiny.
