This occurs during the seventh plague (hail) that God sent upon Egypt through Moses. God had warned that a devastating hailstorm was coming that would destroy anything left outside. Some of Pharaoh's own officials had witnessed enough of God's power through the previous plagues that they chose to heed the warning, even though their king remained defiant.
