And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.
In the book of Exodus, after the Israelites sinned by worshiping a golden calf, God was angered and declared He would not travel with them to the Promised Land to avoid consuming them in His holiness. Moses responded by setting up a tent outside the camp, known as the Tabernacle of the Congregation, as a dedicated place for seeking God away from the people's idolatry and distractions. This action highlighted the importance of separation and purity in approaching the divine during their wilderness journey.
