📚 Contexto Histórico
This verse takes place during the final week of Jesus' life, known as Holy Week, shortly after His triumphal entry into Jerusalem and the cleansing of the temple. The chief priests and elders, who were the religious authorities responsible for maintaining Jewish law and order, confronted Jesus as He taught in the temple, questioning His right to perform miracles and teach because they viewed Him as an unauthorized challenger to their authority. This encounter highlights the escalating tension between Jesus and the Jewish leadership, who were influenced by Roman occupation and sought to preserve their religious and political control.
