Por eso los he hecho despreciables y humillados ante todo el pueblo, porque no han guardado mis caminos y han hecho acepción de personas en la ley.

📚 Contexto Histórico

In the book of Malachi, written around 430 BC during the post-exilic period when the Jews had returned to Judah from Babylonian captivity, the prophet delivers a message from God rebuking the priests for their unfaithfulness. These priests were supposed to faithfully teach and enforce God's laws but instead showed favoritism and neglected their duties, leading to moral corruption among the people. As a result, God declared that He would make the priests contemptible in the eyes of the community as a form of judgment for their partiality.
