Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

In the biblical narrative, Jesus had just cast out a legion of demons from a man who was living among the tombs, tormented and uncontrollable, in the region of the Gerasenes. The demons entered a herd of pigs, which then rushed into the lake and drowned, prompting the local people to come and see what had happened. When they arrived, they found the man who had been possessed now restored, sitting calmly at Jesus' feet, which highlighted Jesus' authority over spiritual forces in a Gentile area.
