📚 Contexto Histórico
In the ancient Israelite community, God gave detailed laws through Moses to maintain purity and prevent the spread of diseases, as the people were wandering in the desert after their exodus from Egypt. Leviticus 13 specifically deals with identifying and handling conditions like leprosy or mildew on clothing and other materials, which were viewed as sources of ritual uncleanness that could defile the community. Burning infected items was a prescribed method to ensure the holiness of the camp and protect the people from both physical and spiritual contamination.
