📚 Contexto Histórico
This takes place about 40 years after the Israelites left Egypt, as they're finally ready to enter the Promised Land under Joshua's leadership. Shittim was their last camp in the wilderness on the east side of the Jordan River, and crossing the Jordan would bring them into Canaan. Moses had recently died, and Joshua was now the appointed leader to fulfill God's promise to give them this land.
