📚 Contexto Histórico

In the book of Jeremiah, chapter 36, the prophet Jeremiah had dictated his prophecies of judgment against Judah to his scribe Baruch, who wrote them on a scroll and read them publicly. The princes, or officials, heard this message and recognized it as a threat to King Jehoiakim, who was ruling during a time of political tension with Babylon around 605 BC, leading them to fear for Jeremiah and Baruch's safety. As a result, they urged the two men to hide to avoid the king's likely retribution.
