📚 Contexto Histórico
God gave this unusual command to the prophet Jeremiah around 627-586 BC, during the final decades before Jerusalem's destruction by Babylon. This was meant to be a living sign to the people of Judah that the coming judgment would be so severe that it would be merciful not to bring children into such devastation. Jeremiah's unmarried state would symbolize the hopelessness of the current generation.
