This miracle occurred at the burning bush when God was calling Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. God was giving Moses miraculous signs to prove to both Moses and the Israelites that He had truly sent him. The staff turning into a serpent would later be one of the signs Moses would perform before Pharaoh to demonstrate God's power.
