📚 Contexto Histórico

In the Book of Daniel, which is set during the Jewish exile in Babylon under Persian rule, Daniel was a faithful Jewish official who served King Darius and faced jealousy from rivals. These rivals manipulated the king into issuing a decree that banned prayer to any god except the king, leading to Daniel's arrest and placement in a den of lions for continuing his daily prayers to God. Miraculously, God protected Daniel overnight, and he emerged unharmed, demonstrating divine faithfulness amid persecution.
