📚 Contexto Histórico

In the 8th century BC, King Hezekiah of Judah was under siege by the powerful Assyrian Empire, led by King Sennacherib, who had already devastated much of Judah and threatened to destroy Jerusalem. Hezekiah responded by praying to God and seeking the counsel of the prophet Isaiah, who delivered a message of divine protection and judgment against the invaders. This verse is part of God's prophetic response, promising that Sennacherib would be driven back to his own land and ultimately meet his demise there, which historically occurred when the Assyrian army was miraculously defeated.
