This occurs during Jehu's revolt against the house of Ahab around 841 BC. Joram (king of Israel) and Ahaziah (king of Judah) had come out to meet Jehu, thinking it was a peaceful encounter, but Jehu had been anointed by God's prophet to destroy Ahab's dynasty. When Joram realizes Jehu's true intentions, he attempts to escape and warn his ally Ahaziah.
