Zedekiah was the last king of Judah before the Babylonian exile (597-586 BC). He was installed as a puppet king by Nebuchadnezzar after the previous king Jehoiachin was taken captive. His reign ended when Jerusalem was destroyed and the people were carried away to Babylon.
