This is God's message through the prophet Isaiah to King Hezekiah about the Assyrian king Sennacherib, who was threatening Jerusalem. Sennacherib had been conquering cities throughout the region and was now besieging Jerusalem with his massive army. God was assuring Hezekiah that this powerful enemy would not succeed but would retreat and eventually be killed in his own country.
