This follows the account of King Hezekiah's pride after God miraculously healed him and delivered Jerusalem from the Assyrian invasion. Hezekiah had become wealthy and famous, but his heart grew proud when he showed off his treasures to Babylonian envoys. When confronted by the prophet Isaiah about the consequences of his pride, Hezekiah repented along with his people.
