📚 Contexto Histórico
This was around 790 BC when the united kingdom of Israel had been split into two nations - Israel in the north and Judah in the south. King Amaziah of Judah had challenged King Joash of Israel to battle, despite Joash's warning to stay home. Beth-shemesh was a border town that would become the battlefield where these two Hebrew kingdoms fought against each other.
