This is part of Solomon's dedication prayer for the newly completed temple in Jerusalem, around 960 BC. Solomon had just finished building this magnificent house of worship and was asking God to make it a special place where prayers would be heard. The temple was meant to be the central place where God's people could come to worship and seek Him.
