Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man, and his communication.
In the 9th century BC, during the divided kingdom of Israel, Jehu served as a military commander under King Joram, who was part of the wicked dynasty of Ahab. A young prophet, sent by Elisha, secretly anointed Jehu as the next king in fulfillment of God's judgment against the house of Ahab, which involved dramatic and urgent actions. When Jehu rejoined his fellow officers, they referred to the prophet as a "mad fellow" because prophets in that era were often seen as erratic or socially disruptive due to their bold messages from God.
