Uzziah (also called Azariah) ruled Judah from around 792-740 BC during a time of relative prosperity and military success. He became king at the young age of 16, likely as a co-regent with his father Amaziah initially. His 52-year reign was one of the longest in Judah's history and coincided with the ministries of prophets Isaiah, Hosea, and Amos.
