In the biblical narrative, King Ahab of Israel had allied with King Jehoshaphat of Judah to fight against the Arameans at Ramoth Gilead, despite warnings from the prophet Micaiah that the battle would end in disaster. Ahab disguised himself in battle to avoid harm but was still struck and killed by an arrow, fulfilling the prophecy. His body was then transported back to Samaria, the capital of Israel, for burial as a somber conclusion to his reign.
